Linux Systems Administrator - Live Services - Leader in Voice Technologies - Sydney

Excellent opportunity to design and build online server systems from scratch

Our client, is a well established digital voice technology and they have recently deployed a specialised online services for their customers. Since the online services is in its infancy stages (in beta mode), the client is seeking a systems administrator to build upon the existing online services as well as maintaining the current systems. This is an excellent opportunity to maintain a large number of servers (currently 20) and design new online services down the track. Other responsibilities will require the systems administrator to support the client's Production and internal Servers, which run a range of applications.


Technical skills and Knowledge required:


5+ years of experience in Linux Administration (eg. Redhat/Fedora/Ubuntu/Debain)
Experience with working on on Apache Servers (may also consider Tomcat/SQL server)
Experience with compiling and building systems from scratch is essential
Web programming and PHP development
Scripting skills (one of Shell, Python or Perl)
C++ programming is a bonus
