Free green waste disposal
Residents will have access to free green waste disposal at Council transfer stations from Friday 8 February to Sunday 10 February 2013. Free disposal applies to green waste only and residents are advised that normal charges will apply for general waste items.
Green waste kerbside collection
Residents in all Brisbane suburbs will have access to a free green waste kerbside pickup (for storm-related green waste only) from Monday, 4 February 2013 to help them clean up from the severe weather.
Residents should gather their storm green waste up and place it on the kerb outside their house, preferably neatly stacked in one metre lengths, by the evening of Sunday, 3 February 2013. Smaller items, such as hedge clippings, should not be placed on the kerbside as this greatly slows down the clean-up following the January severe weather event. |
