Have your resume handy and ensure that it's up-to-date.  Tailor your resume to highlight your experience relevant to the position
Describe your work experience positively and clearly.
Describe your skills in a factual way - state clearly YOUR role in any achievements listed, not the role of the team or manager.
Your work experience should be listed in reverse chronological order. That is, your current role should be listed first.
Check your application before you submit it.
Once you've completed your application, make sure that you click "Submit". We will send you an acknowledgement email once we have received your application.
Don't forget to check your emails regularly as this is how we'll contact you about your application.


Interview Tips
Preparation

Find out as much as you can about the company, the position and any other information that you can refer to in the interview
Think about why this is the right role for you eg Industry, size, culture, work style
Why are you the right person for the role? eg Experience, skills
Do you meet the inherent requirements of the job eg. Travel, hours of work
Think about significant events/achievements in your life and how you have learnt from these experiences, both work and personal
Interview Details

Know the date, time & location of the interview
Name and position title of the interviewer
BE ON TIME! Call if you're running late
Plan your interview attire
Bring everything you are asked for eg proof of identity, right to work in Australia
First Impressions

Wear what is appropriate
Be well groomed
Try to look calm and confident
Natural but professional
Good handshake & eye contact
Body Language

Keep eye contact with the interviewer
If there is more than one interviewer shift your glance between the interviewers.
Body language must match what you say, The right body language shows that you are confident and believable
Don't move and shift in your chair
Be yourself
The Interview

Past behaviour predicts your future behaviour
Behavioural Interviews focus on real-life situations rather than hypotheticals
Behavioural interviews focus more on your past behaviour in actual work or conflict situations. Eg. "Tell me about a time when..."
Each example should cover the following:
Situation, describe the situation and what Actions you had to perform
You should also describe the Outcome of your example.
It is about YOU

Think about who you are and what you have achieved
Your experiences
Your opinions
Look at yourself as a potential employee
Interviewers value qualities such as:
Warmth
Energy
Enthusiasm
Clear communication
Rapport
Answer the question

Some questions can be anticipated
Be concise in your response
Avoid YES / NO answers
Pause if you need to gather your thoughts
Don't be afraid to ask the interviewer to repeat or rephrase the question
Don't ramble
Be aware of the unexpected question
Your questions

Take the opportunity at the end to ask questions
Concentrate on issues that are important to you
You can write your questions down prior to the interview and take them with you

Management styles
Objectives and responsibilities of the position
Hot topic/industry issues
Closing

Ask about the next step in the selection process
Thank the interviewer
