Free green waste disposal weekends

Brisbane City Council and Energex are encouraging residents to prepare their properties for summer storms.

Severe winds can rip branches from trees and propel vegetation through the air at high speed, turning them into dangerous missiles. Vegetation can cause damage to property, injure people or pets and become stuck in powerlines, causing electricity interruptions. These risks can be greatly reduced by trimming branches and removing loose vegetation.

All Brisbane residents can dispose of their green waste for free at Council's transfer stations on the following weekends:

17 - 18 September
8 - 9 October
15 - 16 October
Transfer stations are open from 6.30am to 5.45pm. You will need proof of residency such as photo ID or a Council rates notice.

问一下倒过绿色垃圾的tx，必须晒干才能倒吗？对尺寸有什么要求？

不用晒干，但是晒干会减轻不少份量。
尺寸要求不知道，估计一般的车能装下的都没问题。

kerbside collection要注意捆扎好，2个人能抱起来。否则可能会因为尺寸太大、太重、凌乱等原因留在原地的。

今天去倒了2趟垃圾。

出乎意料的是，不光绿色垃圾是免费的，一些木头也可以扔在绿色垃圾场。我们前几天拆的旧厨房橱柜也一起扔到那里了。
