---------Nowadays, it is likely that people more and more work at home and children more and more study at home, since computer technology become cheaper and accessible.
Do you think it is a positive or negative development?----------
Recently, the computer technology become cheaper and more user friendly; as a result people more and more chose to work or study at household. Whether this changing does good for or poses a threat upon the society has aroused considerable controversy. Before presenting my own view, I intent to probe both side of this argument.
Some people claim that this changing is beneficial to the society. To begin with, working and studying at home, people get opportunities to relax both physically and psychologically. There is no denying that home is the best place to bring individuals convenience and satisfaction which make people work and study increasingly effectively. Moreover, working and studying at home gives people more time to spend with their families and to enjoy leisure time, which contribute to individual's metal health and increase their life quality. Furthermore, working or studying at home enables people to escape from deteriorating air, irritating noisy and serious traffic jam which they may be suffering everyday.
However, others hold that this development exert detrimental impact upon the society, For one thing, working and studying at home reduce the mutual communication between each other, which usually leads to the feeling of self-centred and isolated, especially for the young in their formative years. For another thing, those who work or study at home always live sedentary life, which definitely do harm to individual's health.
In conclusion, it is true that this development has both positive and negative effect. Personally, I side with the view that this development is beneficial to the society as a whole. We cannot emphasize the importance of this development too much.9
