Out of frustration, I've sent them an email just before lunch asking to confirm they've got all my documents. I also mentioned that I'm asking that because I don't quite understand why would someone who applied on Nov 5th while living and working in Melbourne (in his nominated occupation) not receive any result so far.
It wasn't long before I received a reply. It was just a standard email stating my application has been accepted and it will be processed withing 12 weeks. One thing that caught my eye though was the nominated occupation they mentioned, which was 261312 Developer Programmer.
Now, this is not the occupation I applied under! I applied under 261399, with specialization in Java/C/C++/C#, for which I have a valid ACS assessment. I also have a later assessment under 261313 (Software Engineer), but not 261312!
Needless to say, I was very frustrated with that, so, right after I returned from lunch, I sent them another email pointing out that mistake. 12 minutes later I've got another email from them, with the SS grant! But, again, stating 261312 as my nominated occupation!
I've sent them another reply immediately, asking to fix this, and haven't received any reply to that one so far. Hope they'll fix it soon.
So, technically, I've got the SS. Now I have to urgently book a new IELTS to avoid any delays with 176 application.
So, Uli, you can paint me blue! |
