ADDENDUM TO THE ACS PASA GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS (JULY 2010)
Relevance to the nominated occupation: criteria for assessment
Group A
For Group A assessments, for an ICT major in a degree to be considered to be in a relevant
field to an applicant's nominated occupation, at least 65% of the minimum requirement for
the major must be in the same ICT disciplinary area as that occupation.
Work experience: employment episodes will only be assessed where at least 65% of the duties
performed were closely related to the nominated occupation. Applicants must supply sufficient
evidence of the employment they have completed, which is related to their nominated occupation.
Group B
For Group B assessments, for an ICT minor in a degree to be considered to be in a relevant
field to an applicant's nominated occupation at least 65% of the minimum requirement for the
minor must be in the same ICT disciplinary area as that occupation. In the case of a diploma, the
relevance would require 65% of the minimum requirement for the ICT major.

Group C
For Group C assessments, applicants will need to nominate an occupation in which they intend to

in the same ICT disciplinary area as that occupation.
