Age is not a problem. I think for most chinese, the English is the biggest obstacle. Even you pass all the subjects, you still have to pass the language in order to become a registered nurse( Division 1).
I don't intend to hold you back, but think twice before you jump. Nurse is a great job , I enjoy it in Melbourne.

*medical hierarchy: 虽然总体来说澳洲医院是"RUN BY THE NURSES",但是公立医院或者某些私立教学医院,会有很严格的分级系统,比如,intern,resident,registrar,consultant。。。所以说基本这些医院的护士处在一个相对安全的医疗环境之中。因为可以想象,一旦病人出状况,会有medical officer近在咫尺。而大部分的私立医院,很多病人是直接under consultant,他们很多情况是需要电话联系的。护士需要有很合理的判断和处事能力,因为状况发生,你需要冷静处理的同时,还要deal with the consultant even he or she is not in the mood。当然,经过几次甚至数十次的frustration后,你也会成长起来。做到fearless and shameless 就像有些私立医院的护士所言,宁愿放弃公立的轻松环境,也要留在私立医院,因为很喜欢这种有挑战的感觉。

*patients: 某种程度来说,公立的病人可能稍稍不会那么挑剔,但是精神有创伤的也会不少,态度恶劣会时有发生。私立的病人素质会有所不同。当然据我个人看法,公立医院的护士也不是好惹的。哈哈
私立的护士忍功会稍胜一筹。
申请读NP理论上是需要满足be employed in an advanced practice nursing role for the duration of the course.(QUT的要求,原话照搬。)
但是如果意愿强烈的话,可以写信去学院。据我所知,很多东西都是可以协商的,尤其是NURSING这个专业。甚至有从本科毕业直接读这个学位的。如果不在乎学校的话,选择余地更大。试试才知道。不过CSP要趁早申请,名额很快就被填满了。
