STATE NOMINATED MIGRATION – VICTORIA
SPIKE777
(ASCO Code: 2231-79 Occupation: Computing Professionals nec)
Dear SPIKE777:
We are pleased to advise that your application to the Victorian Government for visa sponsorship under the 176 - Sponsored scheme has been successful.
It is our assessment that there is currently a demand for your experience and qualifications in Victoria, Australia and that you have assessed yourself as meeting the requirements of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) Skilled – Sponsored visa scheme.
Victorian Government Sponsorship is subject to the conditions outlined in this email, and that you and your dependants fulfil all Australian Government immigration requirements.
Conditions of Victorian Government sponsorship
1. Sponsorship is valid for six months provided that there is no change to your circumstances or the information provided by you to the Victorian Government.
2. State sponsorship approvals are valid for 6 months. If Eligibility Lists for Victorian Government State sponsorship are updated, resulting in an occupation being removed from the Lists, approved State sponsorships for any removed occupations will be honoured up to the validity date of the sponsorship.
3. Sponsorship is based on your commitment to establish yourself in Victoria for the first two years of your permanent residency. During this time you will not be eligible for social security payments such as unemployment benefits.
4. The Victorian Government is not responsible for employment, financial or establishment assistance to skilled migrants, however the Skilled and Business Migration Program website www.LiveInVictoria.vic.gov.au provides information on how to find employment and access services.
Your next steps
1. Confirm that you accept State sponsorship with the Skilled and Business Migration Program within the next 30 days. Once we have received confirmation we will officially inform DIAC that you have been nominated by sending DIAC a completed Form 1100.
2. The Victorian Government is unable to sponsor an occupation that is not included on the Skilled – Sponsored Eligibility List. If your skill assessment does not match the occupation under which you have been sponsored your nomination may be invalid. Please also note that the occupation indicated on the visa application must match the Victorian state nominated occupation.
3. State sponsored skilled migrants are guaranteed priority processing. This means that the application will be processed faster than the average time for a Skilled Independent visa. Delays may occur if the Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre must obtain further information from you.
4. Contact the Skilled and Business Migration Program when you are granted your visa and advise as to when you intend to move to Victoria.
Important reminder
You will not be able to migrate to Australia until all DIAC visa requirements are met by you and any dependants – even if you have met the Victorian Government’s sponsorship requirements.
Although you can start planning your move to Victoria, it is strongly advised that you do not make final plans to migrate, until DIAC’s Adelaide Skilled Processing Centre has formally (in writing) advised that you have been granted a visa.
The Skilled and Business Migration Program has no legal authority to deal with visa matters and we are unable to contact DIAC or the Migration Review Tribunal on your behalf.
Again congratulations, we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Please quote Reference Number : ~~~~~~~~~in all of your communication to us.
Kind regards,
