Brisbane City Council Employment Services is calling for expressions of interest for a Case Worker-Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people positions for the Participating in Prosperity Program (Band 5).
This position is readvertised so if you applied before you do not need to submit your application again.

This is a temporary position until December 2009. This program is developed in partnership between Council and Department of Employment and Industrial Relation to assist very disadvantaged  people from culturally and linguistically diverse  backgrounds.
The project will improve opportunities for participation for people excluded from the labour market and assist in addressing issues of inequality, social exclusion and poverty.

As a Case Worker you will provide efficient and effective case work to program participants to increase access to skills development and to address barriers limiting participation in meaningful employment.

Ideal candidates will have:
●       High level of assessment and case management skills and ability
to consider the                complexity of the clients needs.
●       Demonstrated skills in negotiation and advocacy to influence
service providers to respond appropriately to client needs in a timely manner.
●       Demonstrated ability to work with culturally and linguistically
diverse people and the understanding of the issues and barriers they face in relation to employment and training.
●       Good verbal and written communication skills
The position offers a generous salary range of $54,494 - $62,209 commensurate with your level of experience.
