不知道论坛里有没有到澳洲后从事IC/FPGA设计工作的? 估计还有一年多就要登陆了.最近在澳洲几个找工作的网站上转了一圈,发现IC/FPGA设计的工作机会实在是太少了,寥寥无几啊.<br>
所以我有些想到澳洲后转专业,转读一个比较容易找工作的硕士专业,比如说IT什么的. 不过读出来出路如何也不确定啊.而且我还是比较热爱IC设计这一行的,又做了这么多年了,实在不想放弃.很彷徨啊.

... send ur resume to relevant headhunters, they will tell you what to do ... there is a market/demand for virtually everything ... but IC industry in oz is very very very small ... recently we are trying to get rid of JABIL in the US and are looking for a local company to develop and manufacture PCBAs for us, but we failed, no one in OZ can do that for us, we still have to procure from overseas ... so this industry is a little doomed ... <br>

I am not familiar with PCB design and layout. I am a RTL design engineer. From the website it seems that this company is a good company with strong maufacturing and design capabilities. Because it can design and layout PCB with multilayer up to 14 or more. In China, there are numerous PCB factories, but only a few large companies can design PCB with so many layers. I guess you are the Australian customer of ENTECH group, if your requirement is not high, maybe you can turn to a supplier of China so that you can reduce cost. <br>

Thanks for your reply, IC industry is very small in oz, but the qualified candidates are also in a small number. So the competition is not fierce.

跟踪一下ALTIUM吧，就是以前的PROTEL, 原来是澳洲公司在悉尼，我也是来了这边才知道。尽管这是个软件公司，但我粗看了一下觉得他们也需要硬件工程师，其他的本土IC设计都有涉及军用很难进的，如果我是你，技术上又确实有两把刷子，我会针对ALTUM做一年功课的。祝好运！

这是我在seek上刚刚搜索的一个IC设计的招聘广告，注意这里面有3个很严格的要求，<br>

1。PhD desired，不知楼主在中国是不是博士，即使是你觉得一个是澳洲博士一个是中国博士老板会选谁？<br>

2。Strong written and verbal communication skills<br>
<br>
3。广告里没有提，其实这是一家军工企业，不仅要求是澳洲公民还要求通过安全验证，估计大陆过来的入籍后通不过这个安全验证。<br>
<br>
楼主可以自己去搜索一下IC设计的职位，最多2-3个，然后发简历过去问问，基本上能有个unfortunatelly的回信就已经不错了。

还是南方森林兄有水平啊，数字集成电路和射频、模拟电路是不同的方向，前者是偏重并且越来越向系统级设计靠拢，需要有相当的算法知识。就设计方法来说和软件设计很接近了（需要大量的编程技术和技巧），当然本质上是不一样的。后者是管子级的设计，需要有扎实的电路基础，对工艺也要相当的熟悉，一般一个数字工程师3年经验就算是有经验的，而模拟工程师5年经验才算有经验。<br><br>
