儿子继承老爸的财产，儿子是继承人，可以说heir, inheritor, successor,那老爸作为被继承人在英语里对应的词是什么？我自己瞎想了一个inheritee,可是字典里查不到

Successor: one that succeeds another so heir or inheritor would be better.

Ok I've verified with some native speakers: if one inherite money from parents it'd be inheritor - same word either 儿子是继承人 OR 老爸作为被继承人.

inheritor is not a proper word, inhere is more for the character. 
beneficiary is what my colleague told me. he could not tell the antonym from top of his head.

the person who writes the will is the Testator. They are also referred to as the "Deceased" (ie the person who died).

Ultimately I used the Deceased because in that specific context, the person died without leaving a will but had assests to pass on.

Ok let me get is straight here, sorry a bit confusing now: 
 
Benefactor: the one who gives assets (i.e. parents). 
Inharitator/beneficary: one receives benefits/assets. 
Testator: the person who is writing the Will.
