Green card is used as the proof that you have the knowledge of the danger in the construction industry, the awareness of danger eliminating methods and procedures, and above all, the knowledge of your rights when you get hurt during work. <br>
<br>
It's mandatory before you can work on construction sites, legally. You may need to spend AU$85 to take a one-day course to be eligible for applying for this card. With this card, you can then work on construction sites.<br>
<br>
If the authority organization, currently WorkCover NSW, found that you worked on a construction site without Green Card, you and your boss will get a fine and loss credits.
