My boss and the general manager gave me a raise last week for my performance review and my yearly income is above 100k nzd now. I have 21 years programming experience including 17 years nz programming experience.
My shanghai colleague, who used to work with me in the previous company, once told me that was very hard for me to break 80k nzd at that time I was on 72k nzd around 2010.
I heard the chinese company won't hire a programmer age more than 35 years old. I am at 44 years old. I doubt if any company will hire me if I go back to china.
Here is the nz tax for nzd100k per year
