About the role:


In this role you will be working within the Tools Team providing administrative support and technical guidance on the use of the IBM Rational DOORS application as required by the project and business. The IBM Rational DOORS Specialist will be the primary contact for assistance and resolution of DOORS issues along with the development of DOORS delivery to projects. The IBM Rational DOORS Specialist provides key input to the successful delivery of project activities through the effective and efficient use of the DOORS application.



IBM Rational DOORS is part of the Thales Orchestra tool set.  Orchestra is an intergrated tool set incorporating the IBM Rational DOORS, Clear Case, Clear Quest and Reqtify tools to name a few.  Opportunity will be available in this role to cross train in other Orchestra tools.


Key responsibilities
•Configuration, administration, deployment and support of the IBM Rational DOORS 9.5
•latform utilising the IBM Rational Requirements Management Framework Addon (RMF).
•Working with the projects to ensure a consistent and efficient platform.

Key skills and experience
•Engineering degree or equivalent.
•Solid understanding of Systems Engineering,V&V, Software Engineering , Configuration Management Processes / Standards.
•Experience in designing and implementing DOORS schemas on safety critical projects to support end to end traceability across entire V-Model.
•Experience in configuring, administering,deploying and supporting IBM Rational DOORS and DOORS RMF (highly desirable but not essential) .
•Advanced DXL Development.
•Experience with VM Infrastructure, Redhat Linux and Windows Server 2003/8 is desirable but not essential.
•Strong planning and organisational skills including demonstrated personal initiative and manage multiple and competing demands.
•Attention to detail and outcomes focused.
