Students born 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009
Here at MacGregor State School we are an Enrolment Managed School. This means you must live within our “catchment area” in order to have automatic enrolment into this school. You can view the catchment area map on our website to check your address.
If you reside in our “catchment area” , your enrolment is automatic into MacGregor State School. Please complete the following enrolment pack clearly marking the name of the siblings on the form and present it to the school office along with proof of residence, this can be in the form of a Rates Notice, Electricity Account or a Rental Agreement (Real Estate certified only), this must clearly show the parent/s name and address on these documents. You must also bring your child’s birth certificate along with a copy (for our records) and if the child is born overseas a passport must be presented before enrolment can be processed.
If you reside outside the “catchment area” you are very much encouraged to apply for enrolment here at MacGregor State School as some of our enrolments come from outside the “catchment area”. There will be an Enrolment Processing Fee of $50 per child (to a maximum of $100 per family), this non-refundable fee is payable on an offer of an enrolment place, this will be confirmed by letter, you must return the slip at the bottom of the letter along with the fee to the school by the due date for your enrolment to be confirmed.
ENROLMENT FORMS WILL BE UPLOADED TO OUR WEBSITE FROM 1ST JUNE 2013.
At the time of submitting your application an appointment will be made for you and your child to have an interview with the Deputy Principal in charge of Prep. At this interviewthe children will be asked to complete some similar tasks while the parents complete an online questionaire.
Those parents for whom English is a second language will need to bring an interpreter with them to this interview.
PREP TOURS
Each Friday in Term 2, the Deputy Principal for Prep will be conducting school tours. These commence at 9.30am and depart from the office and take no more than 40 minutes. Classroom visits will only be available if it fits in with the teaching and learning happening at the time of the tour. Please contact the office to book in for one of these tours.
