车的皮带有问题，需要换，但是还没来得及换。在路上跑的时候，皮带的噪音比较大。
在西澳
我看交规中有一条：
Causing excessive noise, smoke   
罚款600，扣3分，严重时可以当场扣下车

请问这个算不算违章？
这个excessive noise是不是特指轮胎的那种噪音？

我在ROAD TRAFFIC ACT 1974 - SECT 62A 中看到
A person who wilfully drives a motor vehicle on a road or in a carpark so as to cause —


            (a)         excessive noise to be made with one or more of the vehicle’s tyres; or

但是在Road Traffic Code 2000中

255. Creating excessive noise
A person shall not drive a vehicle, in such a manner as to create
or cause any undue or excessive noise, or smoke.
Points: 3 Modified penalty: 2 PU
这个又没写是轮胎造成，而且是2个PU，而交通局的册子和TRAFFIC ACT 1974中的罚款是12个PU

我猜你这种情况的噪音强度应该不属于excessive noise。这个excessive noise应该更多的讲故意改尾喉的那些。但在这里回答的都不能作实，你可以打电话去问问。

另外，如果皮带噪音很大，就是讲皮带和皮带轮之间有滑动摩擦，拖着不修也有可能会扩大故障。
