Position Purpose: A brief statement/ summary of the primary purpose of the role
The Java Developer will be working on the Transformational Program of work which will
consist of a number of parallel project streams.
This role will be involved with all stages of the software development lifecycle, to re-
platform existing e-commerce portals.
Main Responsibilities and Duties: Detail the main activities and responsibilities involved
As part of this role the Java Developer will:
Analyse, Design, Development & testing of the various platforms required in the Program of Work
Develop and document technical designs
Assist with solution architecture
Provide expert input into all aspects of the software development lifecycle
Provide operational support as required
Develop and execute unit test plans
Establish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as needed
The Java Developer will:

The knowledge, experience, skills and personal attributes required for the job
Essential:
6+ years Java Development experience
4+ years experience developing for eCommerce / online retail
Strong experience with Sprint/Spring
MVC, Hibernate, J2EE, JSP, JQuery
Experience with Continuous Integration
GitHub
Proven experience working in Agile environment (Scrum, TDD, XP)
Proven experience in a medium - large online projects
Experience with Web content
management systems and CRM systems
Desirable:
Hybris eCommerce platform
