We will conduct some preliminary checks of the information you have provided to determine whether your claim is accurate. Following this checking, you may be invited to apply for residence in New Zealand.

A valid passport - you will need to supply a photocopy of the bio pages at the back of your passport
A completed application plus photos, less than 6 months old
The original documentation and evidence to support the claims you made in your EOI, including your education, experience and English language ability
Birth certificates
Police certificates from your country of citizenship, as well as any country in which you’ve lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years
Medicals (and x-ray film if necessary)
Payment of the fee, determined by where you submit your application (check out the fee calculator for more help)
The most recent selection of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) under the Skilled Migrant Category took place at approximately 1:00 pm NZ time on Wednesday, 13 June 2012.
The following EOIs were selected:
All those with a points total of 140 or more = 398 EOIs (819 registrants).
All those with a job or job offer that had a points total of 100 or more but less than 140 points = 81 EOIs (149 registrants).
All those claiming 15 bonus points for work experience in an area of absolute skill shortage that had a points total of 130 or more but less than 140 = 104 EOIs (273 registrants).
Total Selection = 583 EOIs (1,241 registrants).
