I have not been able to find a specific percentage. However, the site given below offers figures on the number of convicts transported to Australia. It looks as though by 1868, when transportation ended, fewer than 200,000 convicts had been brought in, whereas the total population was over 1,000,000. Far more free immigrants than convicts settled Australia.
