题目是：whether music is just a form of entertainment or playing a more important role in our daily life

Today heated debate has been going on about whether music is just a form of entertainment or playing a more important role in our daily life. All in all, it would be sensible to me that it’s definitely more than entertainment.

There are reasons for some people to believe that music is just a kind of entertainment. First of all, it seems that music is often companied with other entertainment such as dancing and singing. Many people go to Karaoke to sing with friends for fun. All they don’t want to understand anything from the music. Moreover, most people usually touch only with pop music which is always played in entertainment channel on TV, therefore most of people don’t care or notice what else music can bring to their heart and mind. Lastly, the face pace of modern life doesn’t allow people to spend a lot of time on learn how to appreciate music and how to understand the feeling of the author from the music – may be sometimes they can feel, but still within the scope of entertainment.

On the contrary, it is worth pointing out there are also arguments, supporting the opinion that music is for more than just entertainment. The main one may be the medical effect of music. It is evident that some hospital are using music to deal with some diseases related to mind and music can even release the pain. What’s more, it is very popular that many pregnant play music to their un-borned children in order to develop the potential intelligence. Lastly, music is a kind of way of culture spreading, an identifier of a national spirit, and a memory to invoke your love laugh and tears.

To conclude, regarding this debate, my own view is music is far more than just a form of entertainment and it should and it is playing a more important role in one’s daily life. Sometimes just because we don’t have time to notice that as music is full of our life and ear to relaxing us, encourage us, move us.
