A piece of advise for all the responsible drivers:

While you are driving on the highway, you find yourself being tailgated. The wise thing you should do is gently brake checking the driver who is tailgating, this could serve as a courtesy reminder to tell that driver that he/she is dangerously close. Sometimes, maybe the driver is just distracted and doesn't realize he/she has put themselves or other road users in dangerous situation.

If that driver ignores your warning, you can brake check her/him once more, hoping he/her can change their driving behaviour. However, if this brake checking serves nothing, you'd better take yourself out of this situation by carefully driving off the main road if safe to do so. Because that driver seems to deliberately drive in a non-responsible way, you certainly don't want to keep yourself in that kind of drama if you can safely get yourself out of the trouble.
