I guess this one is a hilarious expression, which only people from outback still use it nowadays.
Something I would like to share with you all if you are trying to compliment a mother and her grown-up daughter altogether!

My colleague was complaining to me about how hard it was to work with some staff from a different department. I responded with my sympathy: Some people just won't make things easier, will they? They quite enjoy playing hardball 利用权利, 给人出难题, don't they?

lol haaa, they know so much about their dogs.
They know it's harder to let old dogs learn. On the other hand, their kids don't learn much in the current education system. What some of the parents worry about is don't put too much pressure on their kids.
After Peter helped me out with something he didn't have to, I said to him:
"Thanks, Peter! I really appreciate your always being there for me whenever I needed."
Peter: "My pleasure, Ping! Anything for you, just remember I always got your back."我总会照顾你的!
Quite a few of my colleagues were talking in a room, all of sudden, my ears started ringing. I said:
"Oh, guys! My ears are ringing (耳鸣) like crazy now!"
Mary: "Then, why don't you pick it up (接电话)? "
It took me seconds to follow her: "Hello, hello!"
Mary: "Nobody is home?"

One of our patients was quite confused and agitated. She was calling out for nothing, hallucinating and trying to abscond as well. The nurse looking after her was absolutely kept on toes.
Being annoyed by the disturbance all afternoon, the gentleman under my care did his best to keep his composure and get his frustration under control. While that lady went off for another commotion, my gentleman was telling me: "God, you are so lucky to have ME!"

While at work, I went check up on one of my best teamworkers and asked her if she needed hand with anything. She was teasing me:
"No, I think I got it well under control at this moment. But, it would be nice to hear you compliment me!"
Me: "Ok, I guess I can do that! Where should I start? Let's say---You are pretty! But the most important of all, you are not a dumbass (I always call her a dumbass if she does something that does not click with my thoughts). Also, look at your fingernails and how they are specially maintained (She is a habitual fingernail biter), I wonder how much you have to pay to get them done?"
Her: "Cut it out, cut it out. You are killing me now!"
Regarding this theory, there are two school of thoughts! 有两套思维体系

After a frantically busy winter in the ward, a short period of relief has been witnessed in the hospital. One afternoon, one third of the beds in our ward had been vacant for the whole afternoon, so, we staff just got around to log on to online learning sessions in the intranet and got ourselves up to date on what was happening around the organization.
When the night staff walked in and saw us sit in front of the computers with the whole ward unusually quiet, he said:
