我为什么要学习英语?

英语是澳大利亚的国语。
在澳大利亚，人们使用多种语言，但如果要全面融入澳大利亚的生活，您必须能说和理解一些英语。如果不懂英语，您会发现很难就业，也很难独立。如果您想成为澳大利亚公民，也需要会英语。

什么是成年移民英语计划？

该计划也称为 AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program)，提供英语语言的基本辅导，以帮助符合条件的成年移民与难民在澳大利亚成功定居。

AMEP 将教给您的不止是英语。您也将了解澳大利亚社会、文化和风俗。您会遇到有类似经历和目标的其它新移民，还可能结交很多新朋友。

AMEP 是一个由澳大利亚政府资助的计划。

我是否符合参加该计划的条件？

如果你是
# 18岁或者以上
# 来澳大利亚新近定居的移民或者难民
# 已经获准澳大利亚永久居民签证
# 会说一点或者不会说英语

你可能得到多达510小时的英语课程，直至使用完所有的小时，或者先行退出因为你的英语已经达到（functional English）水平（基础可进行实际沟通）

你需要在到达澳大利亚后三个月内在一家AMEP服务处登记。最迟也要在一年内开始学习课程。

（510 小时的 AMEP 有 三个级别水平， Level 1， 2， 3。 每个级别会有些更细的区分。
最高级别是Level 3, 也就是三级，考试通过后你可得到 Certificate III in Spoken and Written English
这个三级英文水平证书可以作为你学习其他三级证书的英文入门资格。）

Can I join AMEP English classes?You may be able to learn English with the AMEP if you are:

• an adult (18 or older), and
• a migrant or refugee who is new in Australia, and
• you have been granted a permanent visa, and
• you speak little or no English.

You can study English with the AMEP for up to 510 hours or until you reach functional English, whichever comes first.

You need to join classes within three months of coming to Australia and start classes within one year.

Find AMEP English Classes

English classes take place at learning centres owned by service providers. Classes are full–time or part–time.

You can learn at different times (days, evenings and weekends) and in different places including schools, colleges and community centres like churches and mosques.

There are English classes in rural and regional areas as well as cities. Use the map in the link below to find your nearest AMEP English classes and service providers.

请问510小时，有没有固定在什么时间学完?本人想先暂时不学了，等1年以后再继续学不知是否可以？谢了！

可以，还可以学一般不学，然后留着以后用呢，而且大部分有免费托儿服务

lz这个有官方中文版吗？我记得当年有人给我打印了1大本中文的，介绍AMEP的东西

各位朋友们大家好呀！
     本人在国内做护士20多年，来澳一年有余，现住在悉尼北区，想找一份看护的工作，因为本人英语不是很好，当地的护士证考不下来，所以要做看护，请各位好朋友们帮忙留意是否可有。谢谢大家了！

18岁以上的没有雅思成绩的移民在签证前要交语言（英语）学习费的。所以，AMEP=自己出钱的
