A PIANO MASTERCLASS - With Tamás Ungár

Tamás Ungár, Professor of Piano at the Texas Christian University, has earned worldwide acclaim for his powerful performances and innovative programming.

He has performed in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, England, Germany, Hungary, Holland, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, People's Republic of China, Romania, Taiwan, and the United States.

Dr. Ungár studied with Alexander Sverjensky at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, with Lajos Hernádi at the Liszt Academy, Budapest, and György Sebök at Indiana University.

When: Friday 7 August 6.00-8.00pm

Students will present the works they have prepared with their teacher, accompanied by a professional accompanist.

there's a great concert coming on this saturday in adelaide, pinkas zukerman is coming to give his only concert in australia. Brahms's double concerto will be played by zukerman and his wife (the cellist), and ASO.

It's quite a rare chance to see a mastero as zukerman  playing, it's not free but absolutely worth going, I have booked anyway...it might be a bit too late to announce for it could be booked out already..

今晚的去看了，其实不是音乐会，是Mastercalss，大师课堂，是由钢琴大师Tamás Ungár对学生进行现场指导，学生弹一个曲目，大师评论加指导，穿插了不少大师对音乐的理解，很有收获。

第一个学生弹完，大师说，你弹得很好，beautiful，但是你的Personality在哪里？我没有听到。你的左手和右手的差别在哪里？我也没有听到。

第二个学生，大师说，你太serious了，贝多芬难得写首快乐的曲子，你却把它弹的像第五交响乐一样严肃。
