国内亲戚的孩子如果过来插班读书半年到一年是否可行？

很想研究下如何带孩子在暑假过去插班读个两个月，就是先预热下，为后来的长登做个预演。
有哪位达人能提供些最近的信息么？

Known a Visiting Scholar with his wife and 10 years daughter landed in Adelaide from China 11 months ago. As the whole family is on a 1-year visa (whatever the type), the 2 primary schools (she had changed the school after the first 2 months) treated the girl as 'local resident', so (almost) no school fee + free school bus (as the 2nd school is a bit far).

The girl had only attended 10-months school, and flown back to China before the term's ending, to continue her Chinese school at home city.

The fee is based on the visa type of the student.
For tourist visa, the stuent can attend the school for up to 12 weeks and the fee is $262.50 per week.
For student visa, the fee is $10500 per year.
