CTC GUIDELINES ‐ PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
1.A combination of formal vocational training and ‐work experience over at least 6/7 years culminating in the attainment of at least Worker Grade 4 official status provides a prima facie case for referral to CTC/LTC for decision.
2.Where possible, applicants establishing a prima facie case should be interviewed by a Skills Adviser.
3.Acceptable formal vocational training may be undertaken through vocational secondary schools, skilled worker schools, secondary technical schools and advanced vocational schools. Depending on the type of institution this training will generally range from 2‐4 years in duration. This training must be followed by a period of relevant work experience for at least the period required to make up the 6/7 years and culminate in the attainment of at least Worker Grade 4 official status.
4.Documenting an appropriate period of training and/or experience and the attainment of at least Worker Grade 4 official status is not sufficient in itself for recognition. The applicant must also prove they performed the full range of duties as an Australian apprentice‐trained tradesperson.
