At SBS Audio and Language Content (ALC), we’re expanding our horizons and platforms mix. If you have a passion for radio, but you are also comfortable working online, we’d like to hear from you.
With a sound understanding of the Mandarin speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities, as a producer you will contribute to foster audience engagement on air and online.
This is an ongoing part-time rostered position of 19 hours per week, located in our Melbourne Bureau.
To be considered, you will be able to prove:
the ability to research, write, produce, translate and present audio content (including news, current affairs and community stories) on air and/or online platforms;
the ability to craft engaging abstracts for online and social media (experience using Facebook, Twitter, WeChat, and/or Instagram would be an advantage);
proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
the ability to undertake shift work (which may involve evening and weekend work).
