Job Description –SQL Server Development DBA
• Advanced T-SQL
• DB Replication /Clustering work
Are you a SQL Server Specialist? Do you have expertise in Database development and Administration? An excellent challenging role awaits a SQL server all rounder to demonstrate why you are a cut above the rest. New projects, new technologies
Responsibilities
• SQL Server Database Administration (pro-active management, monitoring, backups, etc.)
• Job scheduling and automation of maintenance tasks
• Performance optimisation (SQL Server, queries and underlying hardware)
• Control and vetting of developer artifacts (stored procedures, database design, indexes etc.)
• Code Optimisation
• Profiling and Analysis of codes sent by developers - SQL Profiler
• Change management on SQL Servers
• Index Analysis, advising on Index changes
• Data migration planning, design and programming
Essential Skills
• SQL Server administration (both 2005 and 2008)
• Proven Backup/Restore/SysAdmin knowledge and ability
• Excellent knowledge of T-SQL
• SQL Profiler
• Performance monitoring tools
• Vetting and running T-SQL scripts
• DB Replication
• DB Clustering and normalisation
• Knowledge of SQL Server Security
Good working knowledge of SSIS / SSRS and SSAS is desirable
Must be able to start in the next week

I am currently looking for a Helpdesk professional to work for a IT services company based in Sydney city.
The role is supporting 1000 users across 300 environment. 80% of the role will be based at the head office and the other 20% based onsite with clients. You would be maily supporting Windows Environments but any MAC and Lotus experience is a bonus.
