Are you a Senior Structural Engineer who is a subject matter expert on Subsea structures and risers for Offshore platforms?
This role is for an energetic and pro-active Engineer who in recent years has been managing clients and contractors. You are able to travel and may spend some time in the international offices. You can coordinate technical engineers and direct them to design float-overs and steel gravity structures, you can get external contractors to do their work. You can check their engineered design work and you have a broad and deep understanding of Subsea structures for FPSO?s, Rigs and Barges. If you have general Topside Structural knowledge it would be an advantage. The Lead Engineer you will work with is stronger on Topsides and so your Subsea Structural engineering experience remains the most important.
You take ownership and responsibility of your work. Once the work has been sliced up and your share allocated you do what you need to get the work done with limited supervision. This is a pivotal role in the project and the team is small yet effective.
You have a BSc. in Engineering. You have at least 15 years experience with either an Operator or Construction Contractor ? ideally both so you have experienced the Asset Owner side and also know how to manage the contractors. Your strongest skills lie in Greenfield work.
