标题: 有网站的同学小心，骗子又来了 [打印本页] 作者: 大尾巴甩甩 时间: 12-3-2014 07:15 标题: 有网站的同学小心，骗子又来了 昨天收到一封invoice，寄信人是Domain Name Group, 内容咋一看以为是域名到期要续费，仔细一看域名不对，结尾不是.com.au,而是.net.au. 2年域名收245，虽然信上写了是 Domain Name Available, 但明显就是利用人们的疏忽而行骗。放狗一搜，这家公司臭名昭著，10年就行骗被曝光，但4年后居然依然能骗到现在，没人管的吗。

Netregistry's Domain Management team was made aware of a new Domain Registration scam, currently in operation from the "Domain Name Group Pty Ltd" (ABN: 135462305), a company registered and operated from South Perth, WA (despite listing a Melbourne, VIC office address).
This group is sending out invoices for payment of domain registration for a .net.au version of various people's .com.au domains. The invoice appears as a renewal invoice for the original domain name, and is misleading customers with a call to action to pay for the domain registration by offering a free iPod if paid by a particular date.
This group harvested postal address information belonging to ACN/ABN owners of the .com.au domain equivalents. The way the group acquired the addresses was simply by searching the public WHOIS database for .au domains, and then used the ACN/ABN details to search for the postal address details via other available online resources.
Netregistry would like to warn customers against registering the .net.au domain equivalents with Domain Name Group Pty Ltd. The individuals operating this company are suspected to be associated with the original scammers who owned a pretend company "Netregister" which was setup in an attempt to confuse the Netregistry client base into transferring their domains and services away.
