Town of Victoria Park are hosting a Christmas Street Mall on Sunday 24 November between Mint and Dane Streets on Albany Highway.
The Christmas Street Mall will bring a festive, quirky, edgy, modern feel to the café strip with something for everyone including free activities for the kids, craft stalls and stage entertainment.
Café’s and local businesses will be open with tasty treats to try and will be selling a range of wares that would appear on any Christmas list. Everyone's welcome to attend this celebration of the festive season.
Art lovers are invited to enjoy Christmas themed art pieces which will be on display. Using the '12 days of Christmas' carol as inspiration, the pieces will enliven the Mall area and enhance the festive feel of the event.
Road Closures
The Town wishes to advise that Albany Highway will be closed to traffic between Mint and Dane Streets from 1pm - 10pm to allow for set-up and closure of the Christmas Street Mall event on Sunday 24 November 2013.
Please note, parking restrictions will apply along Albany Highway from 10am in preparation for the closure at 1pm.
Basinghall Street, Canterbury Terrace and Westminster Street will also be affected, with the exception of local traffic. The Mint Street traffic lights will remain operational.
Please be reassured that every effort has been made by the Town to minimise inconvenience to nearby residents due to increased traffic and a higher than usual demand for on-street parking during the day.
