标题: 什么才算low-income earner?
收入低于多少才算low-income earner?
找不到这个数字。
有个low-income tax offsite。这个只要年收低于67500就算是了。那低于这个年收也算是low-income earner么?

2011-2012 Low Income Tax Offset “LITO” Formula The Low Income Offset is available when your taxable income is less than $67,500 in the 2011-2012 tax year. The low income tax offset amount reduces at a rate of 4 cents per dollar of your income over $30,000.
The full Low Income Tax Offset is $1,500 in 2011-2012.
Taxable IncomeLITO Offset 2011-12
0 – $30,000$1,500
$30,001 – $67,500$1,500 – [(taxable income - $30,000) x 4%]
$67,500 +Nil

LITO FORMULA 2012-2013(Also applies for 2013-14, 2014-15)
With effect from 1 July 2012 the full offset is $445, with a withdrawal rate of 1.5 cents per dollar of income over $37,000, such that it cuts out at $66,667.
Here’s the calculation table:
Taxable IncomeLITO Offset 2012-13
$0 – $37,000$445
$37,001 – $66,667$445 – [(taxable income - $37,000) x 1.5%]
$66,667 +Nil

From 1 July 2015 the LITO is $300 with a 1 cent per dollar withdrawal rate on incomes over $37,000

是不是意味 PROPERTY NEGATIVE GEARING 可以计算到 TAXABLE INCOME 里, 那样, 大家受益的好像很多啊

是啊,假如上年投资房亏损5000刀,那你的taxable income就减少了5000刀。

资本性损失仅能从资本盈利中扣减,不能冲工资或经营收入。当年多余CAPITAL LOSS可以CARRY FORWARD TO FUTURE YEAR。
出租房屋损失,外汇汇率损失应该不算CAPITAL。

不过,也有不少买投资房的最后觉得不合算还是卖掉了。尽管头几年支出大于租金收入可以负扣税,但是要看到city council rate、维修费、水费、物业费等每年涨得很猛,还要保证能找到稳定的租客。
