LONDON – A law to allow same-sex weddings will destroy the institution of marriage for future generations, leaders of the Church of England warned yesterday.

They claim it will lead to a constitutional crisis, arguing that human rights legislation will force churches to treat gay couples asking for a wedding in the same way they treat heterosexual couples.

The Church of England’s warning comes in response to the Government’s consultation on legalising same-sex marriage, which will close this week.

我个人的理解：我即便要结婚，我也不可能选择不尊重我的教堂，我甚至连教徒都不是。我结婚和教堂毫无任何关系。
不过估计在英国这样一个基督教极有影响力的国家，宗教的影响很重要，才会导致了这么多的正义。真的应该把同性婚姻和宗教分开讨论，各司其职，谁也别管谁。作者: xblues 时间: 14-6-2012 11:47

[size=1.2em]Mr Hartley, 36, an administrator, and Mr Bohan, 41, who runs a youth group, have been together for four and a half years. They had originally planned to go to the register office the day before the blessing.
