Anyone, please help translate this.
"Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise." 真象绕口令...还象中国的古文, 不用标点符号... I like cock.

Thanks, guys, for your reply.Hehe, I am not very interested in IELTS. However, I found this quote interesting, which I could only read half way, and then get lost in those words.
It is from Alice's Adventure in Wonderland. Alice could not figure it out, me either. sinceenglish speaker can't figure it out, forget it. Never imagine yourself not to be
otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were
or
might have been was not
otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be
otherwise.
我翻一下就是:
不要认为你不像那个众人面前的自己或是你不像那个众人前的自己
[ 本帖最后由 barracude 于 26-5-2010 10:26 编辑 ] i think it equals to "you should be what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise."
I guess generally it is saying that we should maintain a consistency of our behaviours and characters, right?
