今天跟老婆因为这句话起争执了，大家来看看啊！

老婆准备雅思考试快半年了~~今天她问我一句剑5文章中的句子.
....., which is home to more than 40 million people.
我相当诧异，对花半年准备雅思的人，竟然不知道这个从句的意思！！
老婆说是我英语比较好，反应过激。但是我觉得这个应该是个相当简单的从句啊！
大家觉得我的看法正常吗？

which前有个逗号，从句应该修饰前面整句句子的吧？是对前面句子的补充解释

上面是google出来的原句。

“which is home to more than 40 million people”是定语从句，修饰“the island of Luzon”。 “used on the island of Luzon”有是个过去分词做定语，修饰“16 percent of the power”。整句话中，“16 percent of the power”是主语，“comes”是谓语动词。

这个复合句分开成两句就是：

In the Philippines, 16 percent of the power used on the island of Luzon comes from geothermal power plants.
The island of Luzon is home to more than 40 million people.

呵呵。。。记得上中学的时候，定语从句的语法学的还是不错的。
