Thanks for sharing.

:lol

They are serious bushwalkers. Some of them could walk 45 KM with 5000 meters ascent/descent for one day. How many of us are able to do so.

By the way the leader Chris is over 70, but his fitness is better than mine, he could run 50 KM for a few hours, I could not.

Blue Mountains NP: Coxs River on May 5-6 2012
Six Foot Track from Megalong Road to Coxs River - walk downstream Coxs River to Jenolan River Junction and then camp 300 metres upstream on the Jenolan River. On Sunday walk to Carlons (Dunphys Camping Area) via either Goolara Peak and Tinpot or via Coxs River, Breakfast Creek and Carlon Creek. If we do go via Goolara Peak, there is a steep hill climb (and superb views) and some exposure, but, the exposed part is up a series of "steps" which provide good footing. Car shuffle is required between start and finish of walk.

Blue Mountains NP:Wild Dog Mountains on May 19 2012
Carlons Farm & Creek - Breakfast Creek - Faithful Hound Ridge - Kennel Flat - Mt Mouin – Blackhorse Mountain, Gap & Ridge - Breakfast Creek - Bellbird Ridge - Carlons Farm. Great scenery. Creek crossings & rockhopping. Steep mostly trackless ascents totalling over 1000 m.. Steep descent of Blackhorse Ridge. Short section of exposure on Faithful Hound.

Blue Mountains NP. Wild Dog Mountains on May 26 2012 (unable to make)
Carlons Farm (Dunphy's carpark) - Lyrebird Ridge - Breakfast Creek - up unnamed spur onto Blackhorse Ridge - Blackhorse Junction - Cattle Dog Ridge - Breakfast Creek - Hobbles Spur - Carlons Farm. Great scenery. Track and off track, with fire trail at the start & finish. Some rockhopping & creek crossings. Ascents of 130m, 370m & 350m and similar descents.

A blast around the Wild Dogs on June 2 2012
Dunphys Camping Area - Carlons Creek - Black Horse Ridge - Mobbs Swamp - Brindle Dog Ridge -Merrigal Creek - Blue Pup Spur - Blue Dog Ridge - Knights Deck - Blue Dog Spur - Breakfast Creek -Ironmonger Spur - Ironmonger Hill - Ironpot Mountain - Ironpot Ridge - Dunphys Camping Area. A quick paced walk/trot/run around the Wild Dogs in preparation for K2K and 3 Peaks. Requires a high level of fitness and strong hill climbing

Many thanks Jason for leading 6 of us great walk at Wild Dog Mtn in rainy day. It was real different experience.

First time in Australia walking 24.5 km with 2113 meters ascent and 2026 meters descent in rainy day at wild dog mtn for 8:50 hrs with super fit local people. It was amazing.

Rebecca(Jason's wife, 2011年走45公里的K2K track 少于12小时)
Gloria(不到30岁,完成100公里的Oxfam walktrack)

K2K track.

A blast around the Wild Dogs
Dunphys Camping Area - Carlons Creek - Black Horse Ridge - Mobbs Swamp - Brindle Dog Ridge -Merrigal Creek - Blue Pup Spur - Blue Dog Ridge - Knights Deck - Blue Dog Spur - Breakfast Creek -Ironmonger Spur - Ironmonger Hill - Ironpot Mountain - Ironpot Ridge - Dunphys Camping Area. A quick paced walk/trot/run around the Wild Dogs in preparation for K2K and 3 Peaks. Requires a high level of fitness and strong hill climbing. Party limit

Meeting place: Dunphys camp ground 7:15am
Walk start: 7:30AM we MUST be on the move

Overview:
•        The walk will consist of 3 major ups and tough downs.
•        Mostly on track
•        Overall time should be around 9.5 hours (with breaks)

Breaks:
•        Will be extremely short. Around 5 minutes each just to get fuel and fluid intake.
•        On the Water pick up points we have 15 minutes to get ourselves sorted with water and any more food. Then we are off again.
•        The total break time over the whole day should only be 1 hour approx.Any more and we end up begin further and further behind in the dark.

What to bring:
•        Hi energy low GI carb based food
•        Protein bars or shakes
•        Basically food you can stuff in your mouth whilst walking
•        Keep it close to hand, if we have to stop every time to get food kurt of a bag then this really impacts the overall time.
•        Electrolytes to prevent cramping
•        We have 4 water pick up points. So no need to overload with water, every litre is kilo of weight. I would recommend 2 litres to reach each water point, but this is dependant on you, you know your body better than I do.

•        Warm clothes.Although we will be on the move, anything can happen and we need to be prepared for that.
•        Headtorch - We will probably be walking the last hour in the dark.(Sunset is around 5pm)
