The Platform Support Specialist plays a crucial role in analysing and, if possible, fixing the Quofore application platform defects raised by internal and external customers. This is a technical support role primarily focussed on maintaining products which have been released to customers. It involves working directly with internal implementation and product development staff.
Duties
Platform Support Specialist
Monitor Quofore’s Help Desk Application (On Time) for logged platform related defects
Maintain information as appropriate in On Time
Perform verification process to assess defect
Re-assign non-platform related defects to appropriate staff
Prioritise work according to Company Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and strive to achieve SLA’s at all times.
Perform product fixes as appropriate
Liaise with Product Development Platform Team where appropriate to ensure progress on issues
Pro-actively report periodically to Manager Product Support on defect status
Participate in regular meetings with Platform Team Manager on defect status and progress/issues
Perform and report on platform related tests associated with Device Qualification
Assist with new product development test efforts
Position will be required to assist with development efforts if time permits
Place of work
You are required to work at Quofore Corporation’s offices in Bondi Junction. However, the Company may require you to work at our Client locations throughout Asia Pacific or at Quofore’s international offices.
Principal Accountabilities
Platform Defect Management
Platform Support Specialist is responsible for all platform defects raised in relation to the Quofore platform product. The role is required to monitor and maintain progress of defect corrections in relation to the platform products, to ensure compliance with Quofore’s product SLA’s.
Minimum Education Required
Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent.
Selection Criteria
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Ability to work within tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and to organise and prioritise work to deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships.
Proven strengths in technical diagnostics
Can apply structured problem solving techniques
Technical Skills required.
Some experience in most of the skills listed is required:
Programming Languages: C, C++, boost, Java, C#, WPF, MbUnit, XML, SQL
Website Design: Understanding of web services, HTML, and Javascript,
Software Design: UML, Design pattern, SDLC
Software Development Tools: Visual Studio 2003, 2005, 2008, SVN and CVS for source control.
Networking Related: WCF
Database Related: MS SQL Server, Hibernate, LINQ
