我这种情况年底用不用交Medicare levy surcharge?

看很多坛子里的同学说个人年收入超过7万多一定要上私保，否则要交Medicare Levy Surcharge。我的情况是这样的：家里有LP和一个小孩子，但全家只有我一人工作，个人收入超过了8万。 我上ATO查了一下，发现如果按照家庭收入算，是没有超过14.6万的（因为就我一人有收入），但个人收入确实超过了7.3万。我的理解是，即使不买私保，年底报税的时候也应该不用交MLS，不知我理解的对不对。请教大家！下面是我摘抄的最新的ATO网站的政策。

Medicare levy surcharge exemption
If you fit in one of the following categories, you are exempt from MLS for the whole of 2009–10.
Table 1
Exemption categories
* Your income for MLS purposes was $73,000 or less, and for the whole of 2009–10, you were single without a dependent child.
* income for MLS purposes was $146,000 or less, and:
for part of 2009–10 you were single
your spouse did not die during the year, and
for the whole of the year you did not have a dependent child.
* You were single with a dependent child and your income for MLS purposes was $146,000 or less (plus $1,500 for each dependent child after the first).
* You had a spouse (with or without dependent children), and your combined income for MLS purposes was $146,000 or less (plus $1,500 for each dependent child after the first).
In working out whether your income exceeds an MLS income threshold, if your spouse died in 2009–10 and you did not have another spouse before the end of the year, you are treated as having had a spouse for the whole of 2009–10.
* You and all your dependants (including your spouse, if any) were in a Medicare levy exemption category for the whole of 2009–10 (see question M1).
* The combined income of you and your spouse for MLS purposes was above the limit, but your own income for MLS purposes was $18,488 or less.
