有关RAA保险的问题

刚买了车，今天去RAA上了保险，可保险里有句话没弄明白。

you are covered until midnight on the 17 January 2008,providing you make your payment by this date.When we receive your cover will be extended until 27 Dec 2008 and this document will become your new Certificate of insurance.

这句话是什么意思，那个17 January 2008是怎么回事。我保了一年应该到27 Dec 2008 才对啊

3rd pty property with 300 excess for that car only, i am RAA member may be some discount for that, and the car was kept in carport at night..even before when I was with AAMI, it cost me about $120/year only.

上面那句话的意思是如果你在17/01/2008前付钱的话，保险期限就延长到17/12/2008。17/12/2007到17/01/2008应该是你的保险的cooling period。

it depends more on the area where the car usually parks, the driver's record etc I think, AAMI quoted me $120 for the same car while RAA quoted about 95, all companies would properly just differs within 20%
