请问Research Master Degree是免学费的么？

是免费的.我有个朋友在MEL UNI读 MASTER BY RESEARCH.不过需要你是PR,MASTER BY COURSE的成绩不能低于75,80还是85/门,不记得了.<br>
另外读PHD好象必须要读这个MASTER BY RESEARCH的课程.也有成绩的要求.我朋友正努力读RESEARCH准备上PHD呢.

It depends on your pontential boss's opinion... If he/she is OK, then the academic result is OK...The admission from University on research degree also depends on your potential boss...<br>

PR读research基本都是免学费，但也不一定。因为国家每年给学校的research有名额的，如果当年名额用完了，你又一定要念，只好自己掏钱了，不过这种情况比较少。

Yes, It is called RTS (Reseach Training Scheme). It is further described in HECS code 42. If anyone is interested in it, he/she can google it. However, once the quota from UTS is used up, the university ( I am not sure if each university in Australia can have the same thing here) will have another scheme called UTS (University Training Scheme) that can be provided to waive the tuition fee... The differences between RTS and UTS is similiar to the differences between APA and UPA. But the research student on scholarship must be allocated in RTS rather than UTS because the quota in RTS is provided by government while the quotas from UTS is provided by university!!! <br>

PR申请Research的难度大么?<br>
The admission is not difficult as long as some academic is wlling to take you.. But the scholarship is unless your potential boss himself/herself has the research grant..<br>

yes, as long as u manage to apply with the quota....
