Certified copy是证明复印件是用原件复印的一种证明文件。移民局认可的有资格做这种证明的不仅仅是公证处，实际上有8种机关/个人都可以做这种证明，当然首先就是公证处了：
(a) Notaries Public;
(b) Solicitors, Barristers or Judges currently registered to practice in Australia or Hong Kong;
(c) Justices of the Peace - authorised in Australia or Hong Kong;
(d) Commissioners for Oaths - authorised in Australia only;
(e) Managers and designed officers of Australian Banks in Hong Kong;
(f) Australian Registered Accountants (i.e. members of ASCPA or ICAA);
(g) Hong Kong Certified Public Accountants; or
(h) Registered Migration Agents whose registration are not: (i) suspended; or (ii) subject to a caution.
（设Certified copies of original document这个动作的本意是：我移民局如果要求你把原件寄给我，不现实。但是怎么保证申请人给我的这些复印件是真的呢？于是他们就指定自己的磁器，说，你帮我来证明吧！）
所以只要咱申请时向移民局提供的是复印件，即使是Notary Certificate, 只要是复印件，都得到大使馆去做Certified copies of original document这个规定动作。
此外呢，Certified copy也不能代替Notary Certificate。例如移民局要求无罪证明必须由公证机关出具Notary Certificate，您就是把市公安局的《有无刑事犯罪记录检验鉴定通知单》拿到大使馆做了Certified copies of original document的证明，到移民官那儿也不行。
但是不管怎么说，3月3号，香港移民处的咨询人员给我回email说"All personal documents, e.g. passport护照, marriage certificate婚姻证, household registration户口簿, ID card身份证, birth certificate出生证, etc., submitted with the application must be certified true copies or notarial certificates. In addition, Applicant is needed to provide household registration though he has a hospital issued birth certificate. "。既然用的是or，就是说不必须提供公证处出具的公证证书了，由b~h中的任一单位/个人作证也行。

The signature, name, status, and contact details of the person certifying must be clearly shown on each page of the certified copy, and is usually accompanied by the official stamp of the person certifying the copy.
