标题: 请教关于制冷工学徒
大家好，我在国内做了10多年的制冷工，来到澳洲后听说需要取得licence才能从事专业工作，所以就去ARTC进行了评估考试，结果由于英语问题，操作过了，理论考试没有过。后来听说TAFE有RPL的课程，就是说可以让有经验的人缩短学习时间，现在有几个问题不太明白，想请教一下知道的TZ.
1、据说申请RPL先要在Tafe的学徒中心注册，然后有雇主的培训合同才能参加RPL的考试，想问一下，如何在学徒中心注册？是不是只有上Pre-Apprenticeships的课程才可以？
2、如果不上Pre-Apprenticeships，可不可以找到雇主？
3、如果找雇主的话，是不是只能找第一年的学徒？
4、如果必须从第一年的学徒开始学的话，是不是必须要干满4年？或者说，如果RPL考试评估了以前的专业经验有效，是不是可以缩短学徒的时间？

RPL 因该不需要，只是你以前学历的认证，一般你取得RPL的认可后可以向你的行业协会直接申请执照或者工作资格
如果注册从头读TAFE，一些技能型行业就需要雇主帮你注册为学徒，方可。PRE APPRENTICE不需要注册，但学完后一样要找对口单位收为学徒，然后才可开始你的正式APPRENTICE生涯，4-5年后你才会转正

Thank you for your enquiry.

We can offer you a Certificate III in Engineering - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Course. This Course has a duration of two years and will commence around July this year.

If you are interested in enrolling into this course or find out how to apply for your licence you will need to contact the Course Co-ordinator Alex Newman.

2、Hi wenda,

Are you currently employed in the refrigeration industry in Melbourne? If not may I recommend completing a Cert II in Plumbing- installing Split systems in domestic situations. Then you will be able to gain employment in industry, When you do this you can undertake the Certificate Ⅲ in Engineering-Refrigeration.

If you need info on the Cert II course please ring Diane at our Chadstone campus 95642699, the course runs monthly.

Certificate III in Engineering - Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Course这个课程完成就可以申请Refrigerant Handling Licence (RHL)执照，使用这个执照就可以去买制冷剂了。
Cert II in Plumbing- installing Split systems in domestic situations.大概要学习半年，如果是管子工会的，同样课程学五周时间，每周上课一天。有了这个就可以安装空调制冷设备了!

不知道lz通过没有，我是觉得很难通过ARTC评估。本人曾经通过TRA Refrigeration and Air –conditioning Mechanic 评估。不过我还是计划去上学去拿个本地证书！

个人觉得可以trademan身份找个制冷公司工作，获取本地经验。Tafe应该上的。申请执照主要看证书和本地经验。以你现在的水平不用当学徒吧。
