Flames higher than roofs in Perth bushfire

AN out-of-control and unpredictable bushfire is continuing to threaten homes south of Perth, with flames higher than rooftops.
An emergency warning has been issued for an area bounded by Armadale Road, Tapper Road, Rowley Road and Taylor Road in Banjup in the City of Cockburn.
There is a threat to lives and homes, the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) warns.
The fire started between Taylor Road and Nicholson Road and is burning in heavy swampland.
Flames are moving west and DFES warns embers are likely to be blown around homes, with spot fires starting ahead of the blaze.
A relocation centre has been set up at Forrestdale Hall on Weld Street in Forrestdale.
A watch and act warning is in place for people in an area bounded by Tapper Road west to the Kwinana Freeway in Atwell in the City of Cockburn.
