The station provides over 450 free Community Service Announcements on behalf of organisations that serve and support our community.
The station is fuelled by the dedication of over 200 volunteers and only a handful of paid core staff.
JOY 94.9 is proudly self-funded through on air sponsorship and most importantly membership.
With 216,000 listeners and almost three thousand members JOY 94.9 stands bright, loud and unmistakably proud as a beacon for our community. 该电台节目以音乐、新闻、访谈和聊天类为主，位于墨尔本地区，是全澳洲唯一一家全天以同志群体为主要对象的电台，拥有近22万听众，其中也包括大量的直人。
[ 本帖最后由 choz 于 19-1-2010 00:49 编辑 ] 也不知道是不是巧合，当年我移居墨尔本第一次听收音机就选择了JOY FM 94.9。当时是无意之中被它的音乐节目吸引，后来当听到它的呼号“Australia's first gay and lesbian radio”时，不禁哑然。;P
