Having owned the phone less than a week it’s hard to gush without reservation but in the short time I have owned the device I have been impressed, not just with the hardware in the device but with the latest iteration of the Android Operating System. Ice Cream Sandwich (4.01 currently) is stunning, displaying itself superbly on this giant AMOLED screen. I’m not new to Android, having owned a rooted Desire running Froyo 2.2 prior to this so it’s hard to gauge how a new owner would fare when getting used to the new OS but I feel it’s easier and more intuitive than ever while retaining the ability to mess about with almost everything straight out of the box. I quickly customised it to my liking something I relish over other Smartphone’s.
Battery performance is so far a little better than my Desire. If you use the screen all the time it will demolish the battery, inevitable given the size. Using the phone through a normal day is different; my very first charge lasted me 15 hours. With a little over 3 hours of the screen being on, including checking Facebook, Twitter, forums, email etc. Lot’s of music during work and a few phone calls, I was impressed. Everyone uses their phone differently and I’m well used to battery saving but I believe the battery is certainly capable. Be aware if you’re a heavy mobile net user you may want to keep the charge lead nearby!
The phone itself is large but you will likely get used to it quickly as I have and now picking up my old Desire the screen looks miniature! Due in part to the thinness of the device but also the curved glass front it actually sits in my pocket much more comfortably than my old phone.
I have also been impressed that the network coverage and signal seem to be better with the Nexus than the old Desire. I’m glad Virgin decided to pick the device up for their network, I have been impressed with the service over the last couple of years of being with them including their interaction over social networking, Twitter in particular.
Finally, it’s a gorgeous phone. The buttonless front and textured back are stunning. It’s extremely light, almost feels fragile at first but you soon get used to it and it instils confidence the more you use it. The camera is good; certainly enough for my use but others may want more, the editing options are fantastic though. I would certainly recommend this phone to those who like Android and those who don’t should absolutely have a play with it, I’m positive you will be impressed. It might even lure you in!

我是说，如果用这个套餐，并同时签一个iphone4s的话，每月要48刀 我是刚从kogan网上买一个samsung note，从香港寄来共$510。 打算带机入TPG，选$18的cap，没有contract，$550 credit, 1.5G data, 同网打TPG mobile and landline unlimit free。加$1后，可以有100分钟的internation voip电话，如果是TPG adsl2+宽带用户，月费减$3。这样下来带机上TPG 总共 $15+$1=$16。
