看IPTV一定要插网线吗？有图有真相！

以前看IPTV都是必须插网线的，我昨天只是上网查收邮件，所以只打开了无线网络，没有插网线。
等收完邮件了，忘记了，顺手打开了VLC，开始看电视，看了好一会，才发现，我连网线都么有插。
如图，为了证明事实，我把鼠标，电源，统统拔掉，赤身裸体！！

Usually, if you use combined wireless protocol 802.11 b/g,  the default multicast rate is 2mbit/s which isn’t fast enough to send enough signals to your laptop.  If you use only 802.11 g, and set the multicast rate >6Mbit/s
you can watch IPTV on your wireless.   So it really depends on your wireless setting on your router.

BTW, most of wireless router default setting are 802.11 b/g. A lot of folks don't understand these protocols at all, some old wireless client card only supports 802.11 b as well
so if TPG declared that IPTV could be viewed on wireless, they would get huge setup support calls from customers.

It depends on what type of modem you are using and how fast your network speed are.

我也是怎么设置都不成功，后来问了朋友，据说是要买TPG指定的几个modem才可以

看TPG的IPTV的MODEM必须支持"MULTI-PVC". 目前市场上的Netgear的MODEM基本不支持“MULTI-PVC”。 其它品牌的，例如大部分的NETCOMM的好像都支持的。

网速必须要达到一定的速度。 ADSL2+ 的速度是和MODEM到交换机的距离有关的，距离越远，速度越慢。ADSL2+的最高速度下行是24M，能达到20M的都是很好的了。
如果速度小于6M，好像就不能看TPG-IPTV了。在MODEM上是可以检查你的网速的。

IPTV不算流量，PPTV算流量。

请问lz 用的什么 无线猫？  这个“set the multicast rate >6Mbit/s” 怎么做到的？

我的猫 没这个设置选项。

偶现在是TPG 不限量，不用担心什么了
