Thank you for your email enquiring about the status of your sponsorship application with Immigration SA. As indicated on our website on 11 August 2010, Immigration SA will only be processing the applications that are considered priority for our State’s skills needs while we await implementation of the State Migration Plan (SMP).
These are applications that:
* Have responded to our email of 7 July in the timeframe requested; AND
* Have submitted a complete application; AND
* Have a Nominated Occupation which Immigration SA considers to be priority for this State skills needs; AND
* The order of the receipt of the application and the Nominated Occupation falls within our Planning level.
If you have not received an email from Immigration SA about your application being processed, this means that your Nominated Occupation is not deemed to be on our State’s priority of skills needs. If you have responded to our email of 7 July 2010 to indicate that you wish to remain in the pipeline and be assessed against the SMP, your application will remain in the pipeline. Yours and other applications in the Immigration SA pipeline will be processed when the State Migration Plan, the List of Occupations and associated criteria are implemented. You do not need to take any further action.
