Sorry I got no Chinese input on this computer, hope I can make it clear.
If we are only choosing among these 3 cars, I will kick outback away first. Just like you said, it's just a better passenger car. The only sparkling point is the new Outback diesel has a 6 speed manual transmission.
It is a little bit tricky to select one from Forester and Freelander2. Both of them have something special.
If it was me, I'll take Freelander2 Diesel. Diesel engine just provide better fuel economy than petrol ones, and with more torque to handle with offroad terrains. From a city users point of view, Freelander2 has a better inside design and is more luxury. It has the best offroad ability of all the 3. The HDC (Hill Descent Control) makes it easy to go downwards a steep slop. and a VCU (Viscous Coupling Unit) works like a diff lock to give you traction when the front or rare wheels begin to spin. The only cons is it doesn't have a low range gear box, which would be useful when you climb a very steep hill.
Some modules of Forester are engaged with a low range transmission, that's a good help when offroading. but they don't have a differential lock which is more helpful on a difficult track. But it's more popular and it's AWD system gives you more control on slippery surfaces. Generally, a Subaru brings you more fun of driving on bitumen, if you like shan lu kuang biao like a 136.
Freelander would be more expensive to repair.
If you are not limited to these 3, maybe you can think about SUZUKI's Grand Vitara, it's a real 4WD, which means it has a standard central diff lock and a low range transmission. |
