P05627 – This study is testing the safety and metabolism of a new medication to treat drug induced movement disorders which are a common side effect of medications used to treat psychosis. Volunteers needed: Healthy Caucasian and Healthy Chinese aged between 18 and 38 years. Please note that to be eligible for this study you need to have been born in mainland China, HK and Taiwan and lived in there up to five years ago. Also, both your parents need to have been born in mainland China, HK and Taiwan.
Volunteers must not be taking any medication or have any medical conditions, preferably non-smokers but can be light smokers as long as you have not smoked anything at all within the last two weeks prior to study admission. Requirements of this study include four periods. Each period consists of a one night inpatient stay at our facility & seven outpatient visits. Period four is slightly different in that there is an extra two night inpatient stay. This study is conducted at the Austin Centre for Clinical Studies at Heidelberg. Reimbursement if you are eligible and participate: $3256.25.
